The Meross Smart Water Leak Sensor offers versatile applications around the home. In the washing machine, it can detect clogged or leaking drains, preventing water damage to laundry room items. In the bathroom, it can identify leaks from a toilet or shower, avoiding damage to floors, carpets, and potential fall hazards. For the washbasin, the sensor will detect sink leaks before flooding spreads throughout the room. In the kitchen, it will immediately alert you to leaks in the sink drain, preventing significant damage. The sensor also protects the basement during floods or rainy seasons.
Automation capabilities allow the sensor to trigger other Meross devices, such as turning off a fish tank water pump when a leak is detected.
The sensor's design is both compact and durable. Its IP67 rating makes it completely waterproof and dustproof, allowing it to function reliably in humid and dusty environments. The advanced technology includes an anti-UV outer shell to prevent discoloration, a powerful Swiss-made chip, and sensitive metal probes for precise leak detection.
Data is securely transmitted and stored using Amazon AWS servers in the US, allowing you to access the history anytime through the free Meross app. The replaceable CR123A battery provides up to 18 months of use, and the 80dB alarm ensures you're alerted to any issues.
The sensor's dimensions are φ71.5 × 41.5 mm, with the hub measuring 59 × 41 × 21 mm. It connects to your home's 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and uses SubG wireless technology between the sensor and hub, providing a transmission distance of up to 100m (328ft), even in the basement.
The package includes 3 smart sensors, 1 conductor, 1 user manual, 1 power adapter, 1 USB cable, and 1 smart hub (HomeKit version). The system requires a smartphone running iOS 13 or later, Android 6.0 or later, and an existing Wi-Fi network. It is certified for use in the US (FCC, IC) and can operate in temperatures from 0°C to 40°C and humidity levels from 10% to 90% non-condensing.
